Lyriel, Gesmund, and Ghost set out into the Llaigis borderlands looking for shelter and respite. They run across an nasty scar on the landscape, and receive aid from an unexpected meeting.
In part 1 of this session I undertake some world building of the local area, as well as work out some tweaks to the exploration rules so they suit my solo gaming.
I roll up some characters and work out a set up, including their reasons for adventuring, the area they end up in, and a quickly scribbled encounter table.
Then I run them through an introductory scene, where I find out combat is quite deadly.
I love Stars Without Number. It’s a concise, well thought out science fiction toolbox, and for me it scratches a conceptual itch that games like Traveller never quite manage.
